Terms of Service

Last updated: February 9, 2026

1. What This Means

By using Parrot Answers, you're agreeing to these terms. These are the ground rules for how we work together. If you don't agree with something here, that's okay - but unfortunately, you won't be able to use the Service.

2. What Parrot Answers Is

Parrot Answers is a locked answer widget for your website. It answers customer questions strictly from your approved content - and refuses everything else. It's designed for small businesses who want fewer interruptions, predictable behaviour, and accurate answers without the complexity of a chatbot.

3. Your Account

You need to be at least 18 years old to use Parrot Answers. When you create an account, you're telling us you meet that requirement.

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. That means don't share your password, and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. You're also responsible for anything that happens under your account, so keep it safe.

4. Subscriptions

Plans

We offer three tiers:

  • Starter: For small sites with clear FAQs. Includes 1 site and 1,000 questions per month.
  • Pro: For production sites that want fewer interruptions. Includes up to 3 sites and 5,000 questions per month.
  • Custom: For larger teams or special requirements. Custom limits and features.

How Billing Works

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. When you subscribe, you're agreeing to pay the price shown at checkout. We charge you upfront for the billing period.

Free Trial

All plans include a 7-day free trial. A credit card is required to start the trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged for the first billing period.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it. We'll charge you the current price when it renews. You can cancel anytime, and you'll keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings. When you cancel, you'll keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that, your widget will stop working, but all your data stays intact in case you want to come back.

5. Refunds

We want you to be happy with Parrot Answers. If you're not satisfied, you can get a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase - no questions asked.

After 14 days, we'll still consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. Just reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll work something out.

Refunds go back to your original payment method and usually show up within 5-10 business days.

6. Your Content

You own the content you provide - like your FAQs, policies, and other content you upload to Parrot Answers. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use that content.

By providing content, you're giving us permission to use it to run Parrot Answers. We need to be able to process your content to answer questions through the widget.

Here's the important part: you're responsible for what you provide. Please don't provide content that:

  • Is illegal or breaks any laws
  • Infringes on someone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights
  • Contains harmful or malicious code
  • Is defamatory or violates someone's rights

We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules or that we think could cause problems. If you repeatedly violate these terms, we might need to suspend or close your account.

7. Things You Can't Do

Please don't use Parrot Answers to:

  • Break any laws
  • Steal or copy other people's intellectual property
  • Spread viruses, malware, or other harmful software
  • Try to hack into our systems or other people's accounts
  • Use bots or automated systems to abuse the service
  • Exceed your plan's question limits in a way that suggests abuse

Basically, use common sense and be respectful. If you wouldn't do it in person, don't do it with Parrot Answers.

8. Our Intellectual Property

Parrot Answers itself - the widget, the design, the features - is ours. It's protected by copyright and trademark laws. You can use it, but you can't copy it, reverse engineer it, or try to build your own version based on our code.

9. No Guarantees

We do our best to keep Parrot Answers running smoothly, but we can't promise it'll be perfect all the time. The Service is provided "as is" - we don't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We're human, and sometimes things break. When they do, we'll fix them as quickly as we can.

10. Our Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we're not responsible for indirect damages - things like lost profits, lost data, or other consequences that happen because you used Parrot Answers. We're a small operation, and we can't be liable for everything that might go wrong.

That said, if we mess up in a way that directly causes you harm, we'll take responsibility for it. We're not trying to dodge accountability - we just need to set reasonable limits.

11. We Might Change These Terms

We might update these terms from time to time as Parrot Answers grows and changes. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using Parrot Answers after we update the terms, that means you're okay with the changes.

12. Account Termination

We really hope we never have to do this, but we might suspend or close your account if you break these terms or do something that harms Parrot Answers or other users. If that happens, you'll lose access immediately.

If you want to delete your account yourself, you can do that anytime through your account settings. We'll delete your personal information, except where we're legally required to keep it.

13. Legal Stuff

These terms are governed by Australian law. If there's ever a dispute (which we hope there won't be), it'll be handled in Australian courts.

14. Questions?

If you have any questions about these terms, just reach out to us at [email protected]. We're here to help.
